Here’s GoDaddy’s Super Bowl ad.
GoDaddy debuted its 2017 Super Bowl ad last night on CBS’s Greatest Super Bowl Commercials Ever. Here it is:
The Super Bowl commercial promotes GoDaddy’s new site builder called GoCentral. According to the company, the mobile website builder makes it possible to build a web presence in under an hour.
As you can see, the ad is an homage to internet memes such as cats on Roombas and the ice bucket challenge.
While the commercial does not promote domain names, it has GoDaddy’s familiar “see more at GoDaddy.com” ending. And while it doesn’t suggest you’ll see naked women when you visit GoDaddy.com, it is sure to drive customers to the site and many of them will buy a domain name to go with their website.
Paul Nicks says
Trying to convince marketers to forward GoDaddy.com to a rickroll during the commercial, but not having much luck…
Mark Thorpe says
That would be hilarious!
Mark Thorpe says
They better get the bugs worked out of their website builders before the Super Bowl than.
Some of their website builders do not allow third party domains and certain website builders, only allow the first 500 names in alphabetical order in your account to choose from to connect to your website.
I am talking from personal experience here.
Andrew Allemann says
This is a brand new website developer.
Mark Thorpe says
I know, I just started using it for my valuablename.com domain name that is registered at GoDaddy.
I cannot connect my domain to my website. I have to forward the domain to the website instead.
This is the only work around that GoDaddy has to offer at this point!?
Very inconvenient!
Paul Nicks says
Hey Mark, if you are setting up the GoCentral website from within the same account that you have the domain then you will see a full list of your domains on the “publish” step. Just select your valuablename.com from the dropdown and the nameservers will automatically be switched and domain pointed to the new website. If you’re still having issues maybe I can help, just shoot me an email at paul @ GoDaddy
Mark Thorpe says
Going to email you, Paul.

I’ve always liked the Godaddy commercials. Just about every one they put out so far. I think they should jump on the Zombie band-wagon though and put out a nice zombie commercial. 😉
Mark Thorpe says
No Zombies! I am tired of Zobies! Sorry Lol
Nothing will beat the ladies of past GoDaddy commercials;-)
But, a funny GoDaddy commercial that actually involves the sport of football would be nice to see.
The Longest Yard type of commercial? Minus the incarceration ofcourse. Lol
Maybe even a backyard type of football like Wedding Crashers movie or Betty White Snickers commercial?!Haha
Mark Thorpe says
Forgot to mention The Replacements football movie. A classic! Lol
Nothing beats comedy!
