Chinese investor picks up two two-letter domain names this month.
The Chinese domain investor who bought TS.com earlier this month has also purchased GH.com.
The buyer was represented by 190.com, which informed Domain Name Wire that the purchase price was similar to that of TS.com.
While the company did not reveal the specific price paid for TS.com, 190.com told Domain Name Wire that the TS.com price was in the high seven figures in RMB. That’s about USD $0.7 million to $1.5 million.
According to historical whois records, GoDaddy’s NameFind was the seller for both domain names. Given that it’s the end of the quarter and the year, I wouldn’t be surprised if the buyer was able to buy the domains for near the low end of this price range.
The same buyer also owns 19.cn, cb.cn, jy.cn, 236.cn, and 093.com, according to 190.com.
Chinese comeback?
