GoDaddy will advertise in next year’s Super Bowl game to promote a new product.
GoDaddy sat out the Super Bowl last NFL season for the first time since 2005. It will be back as an advertiser this season, the company announced today.
Instead of promoting just the GoDaddy brand, the ad will focus on on a single, yet-to-be-released product from the company.
Barb Rechterman, who led marketing at GoDaddy as CMO up until a couple years ago, was reinstated as CMO again this year. She has lots of experience with Super Bowl ads and the traffic they drive. Returning to the Super Bowl might have been mostly her call.
Now, the big question is “what will GoDaddy launch during the Super Bowl?” It will certainly be targeted at the small business customers the company courts. Any guesses?
