Domains are discounted, but you’ll have to hunt for the best deals.
Domain name registrars are rolling out promotions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While most of the discounts are for new TLDs and not much better than other promotions, there are also some good sales on .com.
eNom offered its resellers unlimited .com and .net domains for $1.99 through Monday. You had to opt in, and it doesn’t seem that everyday customers can get the deal.
Name.com, owned by the same company at eNom, is offering .com domains for $3.99 with a maximum of 50 registrations.
Namecheap is offering different deals through the day, similar to what Amazon does with its limited-time deals. There is a limited quantity available for each promo as well. From 2-3 EST, .co and .biz domains will be just 45 cents for the first year.
GoDaddy is offering .info, .biz and .xyz domains for 99 cents a year.
Of course, .xyz domains are on sale everywhere. Uniregistry is charging 25 cents for .xyz domains, but that’s 25 times more expensive than .xyz’s best deal of the year.
