2016 looking much rosier than 2015 for new TLD company.
New top level domain name company Minds + Machines (MMX) recorded $8.05 million in billings in the first half of 2016, the company announced today.
That’s four times as much as it recorded in the same period of 2015.
The gain was largely driven by the successful launch of .VIP and high demand for the domain in China. It hit $5.5 million in sales within the few few weeks of launch.
MMX domains under management were 728,940 at the end of June. More than 400,000 of these were .vip domain names.
The company says it has also significantly reduced operating expenses this year. Details on the cost cutting and first half numbers will be published on September 20.
