Single letter .club domain sells for big bucks.
The .Club registry sold over $130,000 worth of premium domain names last month, with about half of the sales coming from an auction held on Alibaba’s Ali Auction platform (TaoBao) in China.
.Club continues to try out different auction platforms in China for its domain names, with a good deal of success.
The top sale from the auction was S.club at $37,984. (It previously sold C.club for $50,000.) Other notable sales from the auction include TT.club for $7,788, 18.club for $6,355, BJ.club for $6,150 and QB.club $5,899.
It’s worth noting that the latter two domains have appeal to the Western market.
The top sale through .Club’s registrar channel was SEO.club for $4,999.
.Club just celebrated its second birthday.

This is how Chinese investors set the bottom market price of premium domain names, most chinese buyers, aren’t snapping these up to start their own online companies, they’re buying them hoping to sell in a few months or years for a higher price.
