Why do you use your domain name registrar? Which one is best?
This is the 11th year Domain Name Wire has run a survey to get a pulse on the domain name business. And 11 years in, why not change it up a bit?
For 2016, the survey will be split into multiple parts covering various aspects of domain names. This first part covers Domain Name Registrars.
You’ll answer questions about why you choose a domain name registrar, if you use more than one registrar, and which registrar is your favorite.
The survey is embedded below and will take about 2 minutes to complete. All answers are anonymous and will only be reported in aggregate. This portion of the survey is open until March 15, and results will be reported after that.
Note: If using a mobile device or if the survey doesn’t appear below, you may take the survey here.

Not fair. The survey asks to rate the importance of offering multiple tlds. I will usually only buy .com and think the gtlds are a COMPLETE waste of money but I don’t hold that against the registrar when shopping. Everyone needs to make a buck.
Andrew Allemann says
That’s not what the survey asks. It asks you to “Rank the importance of these items when choosing a domain registrar”, and one of the options is “Availability of the top level domain options I like”.
Top Level Domain names are any type of domain, not just new TLDs. And if it’s not important to you, you should rank it toward the bottom of importance.
