Domain name registrations point to name for new hotel brand.
It seems that Hilton’s next hotel brand will be called True or Tru.
The company just registered a number of domain names for this new brand yesterday:
truebyhilton.com
truehotelbyhilton.com
truehotelsbyhilton.com
truhotelbyhilton.com
truhotelsbyhilton.com
The hotelier recently launched the Canopy brand aimed at millennials. Hilton has also discussed a new low-to-mid-tier brand to fill a void in the company’s brands.
Once again, domain name registrations point us to company plans before they are announced.

Thanks, I couldn’t find anything. But there’s more proof.

Andrew,
It’s probably True Hotels simply because we are being questioned, near borderline harassed bc WHOIS states I own TrueHotels.com (which is not true). We may have owned the domain years ago (2-3 years ago), but someone bought it via GoDaddy Auctions.
GoDaddy Auctions failed to change the WHOIS to the purchasing party’s registrant information, and still to this day, it shows our registrant information (even through the buyer continues to renew the domain).
Maybe you could reach out to someone at GoDaddy (or someone reading this) could make the update. It’s long overdue.
I’ve personally asked at least 3-6 times.

I ran into this same problem before. The easiest answer I got was to submit and invalid whois complaint here:
https://supportcenter.godaddy.com/InvalidWhois/Index
Sounds silly to do this on a domain that lists you as the owner, but it works.
Jason says
Andrew –
Thank you, I just filled out the form.
Perhaps now the @ BrandCertified.com team will have an answer shortly once the TrueHotels.com owner is unveiled, simply because it’s not owned by me regardless to what the WHOIS claims.
Hopefully GoDaddy will update the correct WHOIS to reflect the account the domain name is located within.
Appreciate the link Andrew.
