Panel rules reverse domain name hijacking in Blackjack.com dispute.
A three person National Arbitration Forum panel has found the complainants in a UDRP over Blackjack.com to have engaged in reverse domain name hijacking.
You’re probably not surprised about an RDNH in a case for a million dollar generic like Blackjack.com. What is unique is that the panel also found the entire case outside the scope of the UDRP.
Most of the time, when a panel comes to this determination, it doesn’t consider RDNH. (In fact, I’m not personally aware of any cases in which the panel found RDNH in these circumstances.)
But in this case, the panel said it was so obvious that the complaint was a contract dispute outside the scope of UDRP, that the complainants (Cary Pinkowski, Darren Little, and Joe Whitney) abused the policy by filing it.

The current blackjack.com website doesn’t look very good at all. Better off selling and hope it sells more than what was paid for it which was $460,000 back in 2003.
