Thanks
Is there some way we can get a printed copy of the Frank Schilling interview.
That would be very helpful.
thx
Thank you for the interview – I enjoyed it as always.
Regarding the comments at about 15:39 into the podcast about instant transfers, but it sounds more like he’s actually talking about non fast transfer sales.
While I agree that the “instant transfer” term can be misleading at times, in the SedoMLS network (I work as a consultant for Sedo on it) the sales through this network usually complete and are handed over to the buyer within hours (and sometimes minutes) after the order is placed and confirmed.
In some cases it can take a bit longer until the order is approved at the gaining registrar – some registrars may hold some orders (especially on higher priced names) for fraud checking etc.
“about non fast transfer sales” should read “non fast transfer sales on websites (that are not registrar websites)”.
Great interview. I remember hearing Frank talk about the power of the follow up that his domain platform does very well. I actually experienced it on the receiving end and they never stop following up or giving different options of paying for the domain.
I see new GTLDs as long term investments but I am simply focusing on the .Coms for now. A well establish commodity Vs the new speculative type of domain.
