Suit alleges a dozen domain names were stolen using compromised email address.
Texas company CMN.com LLC has filed a lawsuit to recover 12 domain names it alleges were stolen from it.
According to the suit, the thief gained access to one of its email addresses and was able to use this to transfer the domain names to another registrar. The domains have various whois records, but the lawsuit claims that all of the domains were transferred by someone using one IP address.
The company says it lost these domain names: BestEdSites.com, AssociatesDegree.com, OnlineUniversities.net, NursingDegree.net, ZenCollegeLife.com, OnlineClasses.net, OnlineCourses.net, MastersDegree.com, OnlineColleges.org, MBAOnline.com, OnlineSchool.org and MSNDegree.com.
CMN.com LLC is a lead generation business for online degrees.
