Group creates tumblr to chronicle the use of creative domain names.
I’ve often come across cool uses of domain names on the side of trucks, on billboards, or while watching TV. For example, a couple years ago I saw Mow.co on the side of a lawn mowing company’s truck (see picture).
Domain Name Association (DNA) has started a new site to capture some of these creative uses, chronicling them on a tumblr at InTheWild.domains.
While DNA’s main objective is to grow use of new top level domains, the site isn’t limited to the domain name expansion. Right now there is a .info and .coop domain on the site, for example. There are sections for new TLDs, ccTLDs, established domains and domains from DNA members. (One has to wonder how they’ll treat .com domains, however.)
This is a smart idea, as right now many different people and companies are discovering and sharing these domains across multiple platforms, such as Twitter and blogs.
See an interesting domain in the wild? You can submit it here.

Hi Andrew,
.Com examples are welcome at InTheWild.Domains, such as this very cool billboard for QuitPlan.com: http://inthewild.domains/post/121835451373/quitplan-com. The key is we want to show creative uses of domains, where the domain name itself adds value to the presentation and/or is uniquely creative (like your Mow.co example. Gotta love a domain that rhymes!) 🙂
Best,
Jeff
(disclosure – .Club is a DNA member and I am a board member)

I commented on another post of yours that I saw flyboarding.today on a yard sign in a small town in Michigan. Wish I had taken a picture of it… Hope you shared ARC.clinic on that site!
