.US owners should tune in and ask questions at online event tomorrow.
Neustar, the registry that runs the .US country code domain name for the United States, is holding a .US Public Stakeholder Town Hall tomorrow, April 22.
The virtual town hall takes place from 1-3 PM ET and registration is required.
The usTLD Stakeholder Council, which was organized last year, is planning the event.
There are a few topics on the agenda, but there will also be an open floor for people to ask questions.
As the owner of a handful of city.us domain names, it sure would be nice if Neustar made greater efforts to market the top level domain name. Other than a flurry of activity before the most recent contract extension, I don’t hear much about .us.
Thanks for the heads up, Andrew. If not for DNW, I would not have known about this.
Same here… I own several geo domains and several very short one word domains. It could be a great brand if people actually knew about it.
>”It could be a great brand if people actually knew about it.”
It could be and should be a spectacular brand. This we’ve known all these years now – people simply don’t even know it exists. Been saying as much for years, too. Even when “Del.icio.us” was popular, many people probably still didn’t even fully realize or “register” that aspect of it, I mean even users of that very site itself. You probably could have asked some of them about “.US” and they would not even have known what you were talking about. So the real question is, why has there never been any will to promote it as it should have and could have been? Wouldn’t it have taken very little to jumpstart public awareness and possibly have led to a lot of success and popularity?
