Top your frozen yogurt with a heap of .media and a sprinkle of .pics.
Sedo and a number of top level domain registries are promoting domain name options at Europe’s biggest digital marketing conference this week.
The company has a booth at dmexco, taking place in Cologne today and tomorrow. The event is expected to draw 32,000 people.
The booth has a wall featuring a number of top level domain options. It also has a frozen yogurt machine and toppings. All of the toppings are named after TLDs, which is a clever way to get people to verbally get used to different domain options. If you want the chocolate shown in the picture, you’ll need to ask for it as “.marketing”.
Some of the registries featured at the booth include Uniregistry, .me, .de, .uno and .club.
This sort of direct-to-end user marketing is key to the success of both existing and new top level domain names as they all compete in a crowded marketplace.
I have .uno spamming me every morning with .crap, I have network solutions reaching out twice a day with .crap, and countless others…
If you have to work that hard to sell something, it usually isn’t worth buying.
really unique way to promote domain names …. but maybe effective…. lets see it works or not.
