A social media platform, lighting company and local marketing company buy domain names.
Sedo sold 556 domain names last week for a total of $1.2 million.
One of the more interesting buys was FLO.co, purchased by the company that uses FindYourFlo.com. Given their branding, I like the rhyme in Flo.co.
Below are 15 of the end user sales I identified from Sedo’s weekly list.
(You can view previous lists like this here. If you’d like to learn how to sell your domain names like these on Sedo, download this report.)
Dolphin.org 45,000 – This domain name is still in escrow, but at this price it’s definitely an end user.
LightingDirect.co.uk 7,500 GBP – Lyco Direct Ltd, a UK light bulb seller.
Hootsuite.com.br $3,000 – social media dashboard company Hootsuite.
DIYalarmsystems.com $1,500 – Utah security alarm company Olympus Alarm.
OfficeWall.com $800 – it’s unclear who is behind the purchase, but with an email contact of domain_admin (at) officewall.com, it appears to be an end user. The address is for virtual offices in New York.
Humanify.com $5,198 – Teletech, a provider of technology and consulting for customer care.
LinkBuilding.info 750 EUR – de LinkBuilder in the Netherlands.
RealSocial.org 1,177 EUR – MoveFwd Ventures GmbH, a mobile applications provider.
FLO.co $8,000 – FLO, which helps artists and celebrities create products and brands around their identity (as opposed to just doing endorsement deals). They use FindYourFlo.com.
DiscountPaper.com $2,850 – Discount Paper Products in Michigan. They own the matching .org domain name.
CosyFit.com $795 – Safespaces, a UK company that provides safe environments for people with special needs.
Kopernikus.com $750 – Austrian company Kopernikus IT Systems GmbH, which uses the matching .at domain name.
90nine.com 1,999 EUR – Teno, a watch company with a line called 40nine.
HeroLeads.com $700 – HeroLeads, an online marketing company that uses the domain name Hero-Leads.com. Dropping the hyphen is a big improvement at a small price.
Suivant.com 900 EUR – Next Retail in the UK. I believe “suivant” means “next” in French. They’ve bought other domains that match their brand on the aftermarket.
