State Street and LivePerson among domain name buyers.
Sedo sold 632 domain names last week for a total of $1.7 million. Their highest reported sale was just $25,100, which means there were one or more big ticket sales that were confidential.
Here are some of the domain names that were purchased by end users.
EasyBook.com 13,500 EUR – EasiBook, a bus ticketing company in Singapore & Malaysia, wisely bought the “correct” spelling.
NewYorkCity.ch 1,250 EUR – New York Media Group B.V. in Netherlands. This company has purchased other ccTLDs on Sedo. I suspect it’s also the buyer of NewYorkCity.nl for 1,500 EUR.
SSgx.com $2,000 – Financial services firm State Street.
GMC.co.uk 7,725 GBP – General Medical Counsel in the UK.
LivePerson.com.au $10,000 – online support company LivePerson, Inc.
HelenMarlen.com $1,000 – Helen Marlen group, which uses Helen-Marlen.com. As best I can tell, this is a Russian fashion accessories company.
ChopMyRate.com $800 – Howden & Associates Insurance Agency in Orlando.
Smart-Magazine.com 4,025 EUR – Automotive company Daimler, which produces the Smart Car.
MXoil.com 1,500 GBP – The domain was registered by Cornhill Capital, Ltd, which I believe owns or has an equity stake in MXOil.
BioPharmaServices.com $2,500 – Pharmaceutical studies company Bio Pharma Services Inc, which uses the matching .CA domain name.
MomCommerce.com $2,499 – Trinity Road, seller of religion-themed products.
NaturePics.com $849 – New Zealand nature photographyer Rob L. Suisted. He owns NaturesPic.com.
