.Build domain name lays the foundation.
.Build domain names for the construction and building industries hit general availability on Tuesday.
Tim Switzer, head of operations and registrar relations for .BUILD, told Domain Name Wire that the company has about 1,700 registrations including sunrise, landrush, and general availability.
Switzer said the number is about what the company expected given the higher price of .build. The domain name retails for about $99.
The competing domains .builders and .construction, which have been on the market for over a month at $35-$40 have about 2,500 and 5,000 registrations, respectively.
.Build strikes me as the type of domain name that could be sold or marketed through associations and as part of membership packages. Hitting trade groups will be a key to success.
I got eShop.build ~~~ That’s nice 🙂
Thanks Andrew, agree with your comments. The Association of General Contractors (AGC) sent out an email blast to their entire membership + partners + chapters. http://bit.ly/1fxyQLH And there are plenty more like them, this is only just the beginning – it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
Tim, care to comment on the fake trademark allegations?
Why would he, who trade associate would want to be associated with a party like this. I do not trust this organization, and even if I trusted the 1700 number, good chance many of those get dropped next year. This is one race that will most likely never start, therefore needs not to be finished.
.build is to limited, and many contractors do other things other than build, stupid extension, I would rather blow my money in vegas, better odds.
Anyone even considering regging a .build (at least those that believe in ethics, fairness and despises scamming), should really read this first – http://onlinedomain.com/2014/04/29/news/campaign-to-boycott-the-build-new-gtld/
we have :

@Erwin
Stop spamming, if you can’t sell, or build the domains, spamming on forums would actually be against the TOS, and Donuts could take your names back, so think twice.
Wouldn’t touch it with as barge pole after reading the Online Domain story
I don’t know who Tim Switzer is but I have to tell you that you are working for the wrong people. Get out as fast as you can.

Hello mates,
I read your reviews and the relevant articles someone mentioned seriously. I think that it’s unnecessary to make .Build complicated so much.
The .Build sounds like a liar? Whatever you has been playing a role in the casino of Internet for lots of years if you’d like to take profits from the investment field of domain names. I do think that in investing domain names it doesn’t matter about fake and true, the most important is positive returns. I’d like to take a gamble on that.
By the way the price of .Build isn’t 99 dollars on UnitedDomains.com and you can go to verify the price.
