I saw the Wizcom sale it was a drop auction, this is where we have the end user going directly to the auction to purchase the domain, no middle man…
OGLOBO.COM
Total steal of a deal there.
Not sure about kirklandpermits.net – they’ve always used this domain and had it advertised around Kirkland – whois doesn’t suggest it changed hands?
Hmm…I double checked the list and that is the domain. Are you sure they don’t advertise kirklandpermits.com?
Looking through the history, it appears Kirkland may have forgotten to renew the domain name and then ended up buying it on the open market.
Gotcha. Our tax dollars at work! 🙂
Now you’ll know why permitting fees go up next year 🙂
On the plus side, your Kirkland-based company profited from the expired domain sale.
Just some unsolicited feedback, it makes me a bit crazy every week, I am sucked into the article by the headliner end user and want to kmow what they bought but then always manage to have to read the whole list over at least 3 times to find it for some reason. I understand you want everyone to read it all but should be able to find it at least on the second pass. Maybe I just suck at finding it for some reason. Sorry to complain. This one has been driving me crazy.
