Exxon among companies that bought domain names last week.
GoDaddy/Afternic sold about $1.7 million worth of domain names last week. Here are 15 of the sales that were to end users.
Suvidhaa.com $28,000 – Suvidhaa Infoserve P. Ltd., a technology company that uses the domain MySuvidhaa.com.
SeeItVideo.com $3,000 – a CSC client
ElKitab.com $1,999 – communications company Vodafone. It’s possible an employee bought this for his own use, although it’s registered to Vodaphone.
GlassPrism.com $6,000 – Enterprise security company TraceVector
EnergyQuiz.com $2,499 – Exxon Mobil
ReneeRealty.com $1,000 – Bought by Renee Realty, LLC. I assume this is the same company that owns the matching .net.
EdFilms.com $1,599 – Montreal animation studio e.d.Films, which owns the matching .net.
MasterSports.com $2,000 – a southern California youth athletics organizer. They use the domain MasterYourSports.com, so this is a nice upgrade.
TalonInternational.com $2,550 – Talon International, Inc., which sells zippers for clothing. It uses the domain TalonZippers.com.
TheChurchNetwork.com $2,088 – National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA)
Timberland.net $2,500 – Timberland Services, Inc., a forestry services company in Idaho.
WEMobile.com $13,500 – Wireless Emporium, an online mobile accessories company known as “WE” for short.
ArizonaAttractions.com $1,500 – Bearizona, a drive-through wildlife park in Arizona.
Macbee.com $4,750 – Macbee Co Ltd., which uses the ccTLD MacBee.co.up.
URMedicine.com $2,249 – University of Rochester Medical Center Web Services

Andrew: Have you ever thought of making a website with a searchable database of these recent domain sales?
Andrew Allemann says
There are websites with a database of sales, but not with end user information.
Scott says
I love the way you formatted these sales — much easier to read now 😉
Thanks!
Andrew Allemann says
Thanks Scott. Thanks to Francois for suggesting it.

Looks like an old sales listing for the domain. You can’t buy it anymore.
Kim says
This is not the fitst time Andrew. I have seen this happening before. You listed domains that were never sold as they had been sold. Are connected with godaddy and are they paying you to do this?
Andrew Allemann says
The domain sold. Look at the whois.
