Fundraising event in Las Vegas this month will benefit Water School.
Water School, a non-profit that helps bring clean water to those in developing countries, will host its second WaterNight during TRAFFIC in Las Vegas this month.
The group hosted the first WaterNight during WebFest in Santa Monica in February. It was more crowded than the conference itself and it helped raise $40,000 for Water School. Water School executive director Richard Lau had his head shaved at the end of the night thanks to hitting fundraising goals.
This month’s event will be Wednesday, May 29th at PBR Rock Bar in Las Vegas and will feature DJ Crykit. Doors open at 9:00 PM. It is again supported by NameCheap.com.
Upfront admission is just $50, although you’re encouraged to give more. You can RSVP through Eventbrite.
Any domainer or sponsor attending that does not live in Las Vegas, MUST have a TRAFFIC badge! PERIOD!!!
So if you want to avoid the WRATH OF RICK, I would advise those to buy ticketsw and go thru the front door or to ME you are in the same league as RDNH and I will treat you as such.
Andrew is this event tied to TRAFFIC, only Traffic attendees can go to the event ? Because I am not sure what Rick is talking about ?
Good question deano…
Is this “during TRAFFIC” or sponsored by TRAFFIC.
Non profit or for profit doesn’t matter, if they are making money off the TRAFFIC brand and $$$$$$$$$$$ spent over almost ten years, it is not right.
It’s during TRAFFIC, but not endorsed by the conference. They held a similar one during WebFest earlier this year. It wasn’t an official event, but DomainSponsor chipped in a $10k donation.
They could have been an integral PART of T.R.A.F.F.I.C. All they had to do is ask. Unfortunately, they never intended to have the event as part of T.R.A.F.F.I.C. as they knew from the beginning that they would be inviting their friends who simply want to network with T.R.A.F.F.I.C. attendees without paying to come in the front door.
