Bargain.com, ETM.com, and ServiceMerchandise.com headed to auction block.
Hilco Streambank announced that it will auction off a number of domain names, including Bargain.com, next month through its online auction platform HilcoIPAuctions.com.
Hilco is well known for auctioning of domain names related to defunct brands, but Bargain.com isn’t such a distressed asset.
The domain is owned by FYI Direct, the consumer credit company behind FreeScore.com. It has been marketed for sale previously by Sedo and Moniker without success. Its reserve in a Moniker auction last year was over $750,000.
The domain has been used for a number of purposes over the years, including to market foreclosures and for local deals.
Hilco is also auctioning the domains ETM.com, VirtualMall.com, and 1800MyWebsite.com.
Closer to its roots, its May auction will include some brands and their associated domain names, such as ServiceMerchandise.com and TJMaxx.com.au. It’s also auctioning three lots of IPv4 IP addresses.

Bargain.com is a great brand name. Don’t know why anyone would want ServiceMerchandise.com, though. The store has been gone for a while and the name what never great to begin with.
David Faham says
Please note that the sale for Bargain.com includes bargin.com as well. We also have landf.com available. We already have a stalking horse bidder for Bargain.com and the opening bid for Bargain is at 166K.

They would be better off using Sedo or moniker to get more exposure for bargain.com. It’s a great domain name.
Andrew Allemann says
@ Johnny – as noted in the article, they previously listed the domain with both of them.
