.Co happy with Super Bowl ad results.
Last night was the third Super Bowl ad .co has run in conjunction with Go Daddy (or should I say GoDaddy.co).
I reached out to .Co Internet founder Juan Diego Calle to ask how it went:
“Sweet! Much better for “our” brand than all of the previous ads.”
This commercial was very different than the previous GoDaddy.co commercials. The commercial itself was actually about registering domains instead of strip teases. It was the first .co commercial produced by ad agency Deutsch instead of Go Daddy’s internal team.
The commercial was great, although I was curious how it would play for .co since the commercial could have been used for any top level domain.
Apparently it went well. Next year will we see “new” top level domains marketing in the Super Bowl?
I love the .CO extended version on GD(1:58 min)
Boy is that funny!!!
@Rich
you love as you have many .co`s. I with friends always have laugh about you.
The .CO commercial was top creative. Unlike the “Perfect Match” grossness. Let this be a lesson: who you use for creative can make or break your brand.
@ Acro – both commercials were done by the same ad firm.
Meh … like Juan would say anything else.
Actual metrics, please; including the most important one — a numerical/time comparison between this year and past years … including normal January time-period — of actual domains registered.
The emperor has no clothes … and never will.

He who laughs last, laughs best.
Time will tell.
It did well because…he said it did well. Because if it didn’t do well, he would have said it didn’t? I don’t think so. Would be nice if he could actually back it up with numbers of some kind.
