Johnston to give the lone domain name related talk at SXSW.
This week SXSW announced the panels and talks that made the cut for its 2013 conference in Austin.
Sedo’s Jeremiah Johnston has been selected two years in a row to give a talk about new top level domains.
Johnston will give a “Future15” talk titled “New Domains Have Landed – Now What!?“.
Of course, new TLDs won’t have exactly landed by the time he gives his talk in March. But they will be imminent.
Next year’s SXSW Interactive festival will have 450 sessions, which is quite a bit fewer than in previous years. It’s not easy getting your session picked, so congrats to Jeremiah.
Here are some of the domain related panels that don’t appear to have made the cut, but let me know if I overlooked them.
Not on schedule:
.JOBS, The SEO Hotshot: Multiple Domain Recruiting (.jobs Direct Employers Association)
Protect Digital Assets Against Government Seizure
How You Will Get Hacked Ten Years From Now (.secure)

Kind of surprised that one didn’t get picked, actually.
