Pixel Capital buys domain names to enter online travel market.
Australian company Pixel Capital Pty Ltd announced last week that it had acquired Accommodation.com and Accommodation.co.uk for a combined $528,000 USD.
Both domain names were owned by a British company and were developed at one point.
Although the transaction is finalized, Pixel founder Roland Bleyer told Domain Name Wire that the deal is owner financed over multiple years. In other words, Pixel is still making payments.
The seller also confirmed the sale to Domain Name Wire.
The deal did not specify a purchase price for each individual domain name, but Bleyer said he pegged it around 440,000 for the .com and 88,000 for the co.uk.
This isn’t Pixel’s first big domain name purchase. It bought CreditCard.com.au for $160,000 AUD in 2009 and CreditCard.net for $138,000 USD in 2011.

They should also buy the typos for Accommodation. Is it two c’s and one m, or one c and two m’s, or accommadation…??? That is a word that can get typo’d so much.

@Domains: the most common typo accomodation.com, along with acommodation.com and accommadation.com look to be part of the deal; Frank owns acomodation.com.
