Auction has numerous bids but most are under reserve while Sedo lands a whale with AT.com brokerage deal.
Moniker’s International Premium & ccTLD Auction ends tomorrow, and so far the names getting attention are neither ccTLDs or international domains.
The top bid is for MovieGuide.com, although the $71,000 bid is below the $100k-$250k reserve range. Other domains with bids above $10,000 but below reserve are PartyLine.com and Trash.com.
So far one domain, Smokers.co.uk, has a bid above reserve. Its current bid is $400 with three bidders. I expect that one to go up before the auction ends.
In other domain brokerage news, Sedo has landed an exclusive deal to broker AT.com. The domain name was originally registered in 1989 and acquired by the current owner in 1999. Sedo says the domain has been developed multiple times over the years and at its peak as a location-based search engine pulled in two million users a day.
.AT also happens to be the country code for Austria.
We’ve seen a handful of two letter .com’s sell in the half million dollar range in recent years. It will be interesting to see what happens with .AT.
