HP buys CloudFolders.com for $3,790 (and 18 other domain sales)

HP buys domain for cloud offering and a look at 18 other end user domain purchases this past week.

HP is the biggest name on this week’s end user domain sales report. The company purchased CloudFolders.com for what amounts to pennies (or a fraction of a penny) to the company: $3,790 at Sedo. Interestingly, the company did not also acquire CloudFolder.com (singular).

Here are 18 other end user sales, including if they took place at Afternic or Sedo:

Injury Care of Utah, which owns InjuryCareofUtah.com, bought InjuryCare.net for $1,288 (Afternic).

Here’s a perfect domain buy. Multifamily Utility, which provides submetering to multifamily properties, bought SubmeterStore.com for $700 (Sedo).

The company behind Lottery.co.uk bet $2,500 on LotteryApps.com (Sedo).

The modern furnishings store affiliated with popular modern living magazine Dwell, Dwell Home Furnishing, bought ThereStyle.com for $1,895 (Afternic).

Publication Yachting Matters paid $2,500 for SuperYachtBrokers.com (Afternic). Remember when MegaYachts.com sold for $150,000 at auction in 2007?

The owner of DJPromotions.org upgraded to .com for $3,000 (Afternic).

Garage Creative Studios shortened its web address form GarageCreativeStudios.com to GarageCreative.com for $1,195 (Afternic).

Stock photo site ShutterStock.com bought ShutterSpark.com for $1,395 (Sedo).

Clothing company Dickies bought MilitaryHero.com for $1,000 (Afternic).

Eurofoods Group, a wholesaler to caterers, bought CaterersDirect.com for $1,288 (Afternic).

Indoor Air Quality Corporation shortened its domain from IAQcorp.com to IAQC.com for $2,250 (Sedo).

Accounting software company FreeAgent.com bought FreeAgent.org for $1,937 (Afternic).

Documentary films company The Documentary Group shortened its web address a lot from TheDocumentaryGroup.com by picking up DocGroup.com for $2,500 (Afternic).

Facedown Records also shortened its address from FacedownRecords.com to FaceDown.com for $3,500 (Afternic).

Lehigh Valley Health Network bought MidAtlanticHealth.com for $3,188 (Afternic).

Promotional products company Wackes, which is on the web at Wackes.se, globalized with Wackes.com for $3,188 (Afternic).

Materials company PPG Industries, which sells paints, bought PaintIt.net for $1,788 (Afternic).

Apartment company Fairfield Residential bought FairfieldDevelopment.com for $2,500 (Afternic).
