Arbitration panel determines KennethCopelandBlog.com can remain with current owner.
Televangelist Kenneth Copeland has lost a domain name dispute with KennethCopelandBlog.com, a criticism site.
Kenneth Copeland is a televangelist who preaches the so-called prosperity gospel. The message is that the more money people give to the church, the more they’ll get out of God. (A beautiful business model if you ask me.)
The critical site is maintained Rich Vermillion, who used to work with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. He’s asking the Copelands to repent.
The panelist in the case ruled that Vermillion has rights or legitimate interests in the domain name because he’s using it for criticism and not for personal profit.
This case has given me an idea for a new business model: you can now donate to Domain Name Wire. The more money you donate, I promise the more money you’ll start earning from your domain portfolio.

Andrew, your plan will only work if you send me money first.

Folks, I know sometimes those in high positions whithin the Church can fall away from God. I am not saying that is the case with Kenneth Copeland. I am saying that when it comes time to stand in judgement in front of Jesus Christ, all our iniquities will be brought from darkness into light. No matter what the case, we don’t know his heart, only God does. He may have really big dreams for serving the Lord and that requires money. Our job is not to judge, but to be obedient with our tithe and offering. God will take care of the rest. Tithing is about God, not Kenneth Copeland. It is God’s money and He will make sure it is handled properly. Again, I am not saying I know what is in Kenneth’s heart. I am letting you know that we should not judge other people. Has anyone ever confronted him about what he wants to do with the money? I bet not. It is so much easier to sit on the sideline and judge. Please don’t do that.

Reverend Luke we could assume you’d be pro tithe. Get a job. God doesn’t like spammers.

Kenneth Copeland is a false prophet of the highest order. No, I do not judge him but God’s Word does that. The Bible tells us that “They will change the truth of God’s word into a lie”, “they will change the scripture for personal gain to feed their flesh and their belly”. Copeland and his fellow prosperity pimps like Fred Price, Creflo Dollar, Paula White etc already have their reward here on earth. The mansions, the rolls royces, the private jets, the fancy clothes and the diamonds on their fingers and wrists.
By the way tithing is not a New Testament command. We are commanded to give to help the poor, the widows and the orphans, not make the preachers rich and comfortable. It is because they have all these material comforts that they become less like shepherds.
Loren Sanders says
@Godsgardencafe – I understand and appreciate your heart in this, but though you are correct in the preposition that only God can look on the heart in judgment, we are taught by scripture that we are all known by our fruits, and to defend God’s truth by pointing out Copeland’s false teachings is both honorable to the Father, and helpful to the unknowing. If someone teaches ideas, principles, etc that are clearly in violation of scripture, it is our (those of us who are Christians) duty to stand for our God against them.

Good discussion here. May I submit that the tithe is old testament and was for the support of the Levites as well as for the traveler, the widow and the orphan. The tithe was not money, but agricultural in nature. See Leviticus 27:30-31 and Deut. 14:22-26. Also a pastor was not to rule over the flock. Please see Luke 22:25-27. Jesus said in Matthew 15:3 “Why do you transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? I suggest to all that the one pastor system supported by the tithe is a man made, man centered tradition that denies Christ and His Commandments. As Paul once wrote: 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. (2Tim 3:1-9)

Reverend Luke:
Be mindful that Christians are commanded by Scripture to test all things, try the spirits, expose the unfruitful works of darkness, and judge the fruits of a teacher or prophet (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1; Ephesians 5:11; Matthew chapter 7).
With that in mind, Kenneth Copeland teaches that Jesus died spiritually on the cross, took on the nature of Satan, sinned, and had to be “born again” in hell to purchase our redemption.
Copeland also teaches that he is a “god” and that Jesus never claimed to be God while on Earth.
By teaching these things, Kenneth Copeland disqualified himself from being a Christian a long time ago.

I’ve got something to say on all this. First, I followed Copeland for years, and some things did not set well with me so I listened to this Mr. Vermillion’s blog and got very swayed by it. But I followed the rabbit hole to the end and saw the author of the KennethCopelandblog’s fruits also. They were not all that good! When I started falling out of step with him on some things, I fell out of favor with him. I started to feel that his attacks against others, though there may be grounds for it, are not completely of God. It just started to seem like faultfinding and no one could be right but him and all who are following him. I found that when you disagree or try to think for yourself he will turn and attack you; or just not publish your comments if he doesn’t have a comeback that will make himself look good and the one he’s attacking look like dirt. He seems to try to control what the readers of his comments think by making sure your thoughts don’t provoke views other than his own.
I feel tithing a certain percent, and the LAW about it is OLD TESTIMATE. But I do believe in giving as it is spelled out in the new testimate. I feel Copeland grew-up around those who strictly did it the old tesimate way, and saw that God honored it still; so he goes by it and still teaches others the old way. I do believe that Copeland is “saved” as Vermillion instructs Copeland to “get saved”! So I have weighed both sides and feel that I come to my own conclusions after prayer about it. I choose to be lead by God and my conscience. Not by a control freak or his target.

Just to clear up any confusion. On the “kennethcopelandblog”, no comments are allowed; but on his other sites that have more hit pieces like even one about Glenn Beck, those sites do allow for comments; if Vermillion decides to post them. The attack on Kenneth Copeland at a blog that sounds like it is Mr. Copelands own blog, but obviously is not, (deceveing isn’t it, and who is it that decieves and accuses? Isn’t it one who has horns and a tail?)that blog doesn’t allow for any other view points. And I just wonder, if there was a body language expert viewing the video of Mr. Vermillion, in which Vermillion speaks of his attack as being a “loving rebuke that is bibical”; if a body language expert would view that embeded video, what would we learn?

My church CHANGED when they started following Kenneth and Gloria Copeland!… We had to repeat to ourselves in a service, “money comes to me!!!”, provided you have given your tithes and offerings (which they spent 45 minutes on talking about it at each service). Of course, is we did not tithe and give offerings, then we were UNDER THE CURSE! (what rubbish!!!)… this created fear in us to give, give, give… and expect a hundred fold return (which we never got) and then when we questioned why, we were told that we were not right spiritually and did not have enough faith! One evening the leaders told us to come to the evening’s service wearing our “rich clothes and jewellery” so that we would “increase our faith” in getting back from God the Prosperity God “owed us”…. I cant believe that I believed that nonsense!!! Our Paster then only confided in his “inner” team… he was “untouchable” as if you wanted to talk to him… you would have to go through 2 of his new body guards to even greet him! I found at that why they did this was so that the inner leaders of the church would not be “stained by our sins”…. OMGosh!!! I have finally left the church and my husband followed me eventually and our eyes were opened to the truth about their lies of prosperity! WE ARE A SMALL TOWN… so why need body guards? He wears Armani jackets, now has a stage with lights and screens and all sorts and still has his body guards….. I think thats ridiculous!! … what is he worried about? that some old granny will want him to pray for her?????… gosh!
