From Rediff to a company in Santa Claus, Indiana, end users bought a number of domain names this week.
As I report every week, here’s a look at end users who recently bought domain names through Afternic.
Ho Ho Holdings, which owns a number of properties and entertainment destinations in Santa Claus, Indiana, bought GiftfromSanta.com for $1,288.
Rediff.com bought KnowledgeCentre.com for $4,388. Last week it bought GoodKnowledge.com for $1,488.
GovDelivery, which provides government-to-citizen communication tools, bought GovRadio.com for $1,888.
Someone bought SocialSecurityPlan.com for $1,000. Is it a politician?
Mountain Beverage & Distribution bought its acronym MBDCO.com for $1,188.
iPhone app development company App Start Ltd bought FriendTrack.com for $2,200, probably for a new app.
TheAcademy.com, which offers lots of online training including health and wellness, bought GuidetoHealth.org for $1,288.
The owner of Jaguar.org.br, which forwards to a site for jaguar conservation, bought Jaguars.org for $9,999.
Employee benefits firm Insurance Applications Group, LLC paid $1,988 for PayrollPlan.com.
The owner of Search-Ventures.com bought the non hyphenated version SearchVentures.com for $3,850.
Travel Planners International, a repeat Afternic customer, bought TravelPros.com for $15,000.
Carus Corporation, which claims to be the world’s largest manufacturer of potassium permanganate, bought Carus.net for $2,388. Its main web site is CarusCorporation.com. Frank Schilling owns Carus.com.
Fort Wayne, Indiana pharmacy Community Care Pharmacy, which used the ill-advised communitycarepharmacy.PRO domain name, upgraded to CommunityCarePharmacy.com for $1,500.

@John Are you for real??? Or just spamming, what’s so unusual about companies buying the abbreviated version of their name or another buying the non hyphenated spelling?
Or an ap developer aquiring a powerful generic domain.

Thanks for these reports Andrew; confirms that the end-user market remains vibrant.
I suspect that the Gov Delivery was the same company that wanted to buy my Gov TV.
Difference is/was that I wasn’t willing to virtually give it away like the seller of Gov Radio unnecessarily did.
Hold firm sellers. Follow in Rick S’s wise footsteps and find out who the potential buyer is before you give your valuable dotcom domains away.
