Sedo Releases Drastic Improvement to Domain Parking Stats Interface

New interface loads faster and is more usable.

Domain marketplace and parking service Sedo has released a completely redesigned stats interface.

The new interface is a huge improvement over the old one, which could only be describe as confusing and slow.

Indeed, while the new interface is much easier to understand and manipulate, the biggest improvement in my mind is the speed at which it loads. The old interface was so clunky that it usually froze up my Firefox browser.

The interface now has a good dashboard that provides the most important metrics at a glance. It also lets you quickly view your high traffic domains as well as low RPM domain names.

At a domain level you can see referral traffic, searched keywords, and even the optimization history for the domain.

I especially like the optimization history, which shows exactly which changes were made to your page and when.

The domain info also tells you if the parked page is currently monetized by Sedo’s tier 1 ad provider.

I noticed this morning too Andrew, I just like seeing the month to date, but once you figure out to use option 2 you can do that.

I do like when you click a domain, and get the five tabs. Easy and fast to make changes on any domain.

Wow, talk about a leap forward… My favorite feature is that the analytics seem more solid than other parking platforms I have used. Usually when I acquire a domain with more than 10 hits a day, I park it at WhyPark or host it myself, and install Google Analytics to find the source of the traffic.

One little improvement that would be nice is for them to include the full URL for the referrer. As it is now, the URL is limited to 50 characters. So, if the URL for this post were pointed to a parked page, sedo would show https://domainnamewire.com/2011/09/06/sedo-releases… as the referring URL.

    Very true Andrew……totally awesome, really.

This is how it should have been done ten years ago.

Kudos to them for finally making it happen.

Now, hopefully they will follow this up by paying more, which they should be doing.
