Sedo sells three letter .com for big money.
Domain brokerage Sedo has sold the domain name YYY.com for $45,444, according to the site’s recent sales section.
So the question for all you three and four character domain name fans: is this a ccc.com domain or a vvv.com domain? Is it a triple premium? Is it a million-zillion-triple-premium-triple-repeat dot com?
The domain name’s whois record currently shows Sedo’s brokerage, and it was previously protected by a whois privacy service.
In other Sedo sales news, the company has a bid of 10,000 EUR for the domain name Star.me. An auction for the domain name will end on August 10. The next GreatDomains auction begins August 19.

I snagged a LLL.com last month for under $2k
Not a triple repeat, but it is worth 3 to 10 times that since it has premium letters.

@ jason – you sure it wasn’t stolen?
