A generic, a typo, or neither.
The owner of Casino.com has failed to convince a World Intellectual Property Forum panel that it should get the domain name Caisinos.com.
The case was filed by Mansion (Gibraltar) Limited of Gibraltar, which claimed that Caisinos.com is merely a typo of its Casino.com domain name. There are a few problems with this argument:
1. Casino is a generic term, although this is the weakest defense
2. If anything, it’s a typo of Casinos.com, owned by Harrah’s, not the complainant
3. It’s not really a typo
As it turns out, one of the respondent’s clients is Casinos Austria International, which uses the CAI moniker for short. For example, one of its web sites is CAIGames.com. So really, Caisinos.com is just a play on “CAIsinos”.
The panelist found that the respondent had rights or legitimate interests in the domain name.

Wow. Nice try.
I hope Larry doesn’t come after us for
Copier.com since he owns Copiers.com.
Larry, please… it was an honest mistake 😉

Wait, I just re-read this.
It was a mis-spell of Casinos.com – with an extra “i” in it.
Now it’s really confusing 🙂
Like you said, if anyone has a problem, it would be Harrah’s — which I visited over the weekend 😀

Pathetic.
