Another five figure sale courtesy of Go Daddy Auctions.
Last week I wrote about GoDaddy selling BusinessTube.com for $25,000. Go Daddy only reports certain sales it makes each week, and only sales made on its Go Daddy Auctions site. So we don’t always see five figure deals on its lists.
But they did it again this week, selling IPS.com for $37,505. The domain’s whois record has been protected by privacy for a while so it’s unclear who the buyer is.
Before looking at some of the company’s other sales for the week, here’s a follow up on BusinessTube.com. I was surprised to see the same domain on NameMedia’s sales list last week. The company confirmed my hunch that the domain was listed with “Expanded” promotion on Afternic, which meant it was syndicated to Go Daddy Auctions, one of its many syndication partners.
OK, back to other notable sales at Go Daddy Auctions this past week:
IPS.com $37,505
NJBank.com $7,500
VitaMart.com $5,001
PrivateTube.com $3,005
Cmail.net $2,750
SimplePet.com $2,250
CTAP.com $2,025
Residuals.com $2,015

No hat tip this time? LOL 🙂
IPS.com brought up some red flags in my book which I covered May 8th when I wrote about the auction. http://www.dotweekly.com/ips-com-domain-name-goes-to-auction
The reserve was only set at $5K but other flags were present as well.
Andrew Allemann says
@ Jamie – sorry, didn’t see that 🙂
Jamie says
LOL,
Just giving you a hard time 😉
Thanks for the hat tip on your earlier article!
Do you think the domain has any red flags as I thought?
Andrew Allemann says
@ Jamie – sure, it has some — as do many domains. But your analysis seems solid.
Brad says
I was considering bidding on IPS.com but the history of it seemed very questionable IMO.
DR.DOMAIN says
Surprised at the low sale on residuals.com
Steve M says
Had the same thought, Dr.D.; Residuals.com was a steal.
