Price increases $100 tomorrow.
If you’ve been thinking about going to the 2009 GeoDomain Expo, today’s the day to register. The price increases from $595 today to $695 tomorrow. The conference will be April 23-25 in San Diego.
If you’re on the fence about this conference, I recommend jumping in. Last year’s conference in Chicago was stellar and attracted a record 200 attendees. This year’s conference was mired in controversy before it began, but that’s all water under the bridge now.
Even if you’ve never been to a general domain conference before, GeoDomain Expo is a good way to dip your toe in the water. It is by far the least expensive major conference. Not only is admission anywhere from 30%-60% cheaper than other conferences, but the hotel is also inexpensive at just $150 per night. I just booked a non-stop flight from Austin to San Diego for $200 round trip. Take advantage of bargain basement travel prices.
Oh, and the content will be fantastic. The agenda is focused on the fall of traditional local media and the role GeoDomainers can play in picking up the pieces. For my take on where the industry is headed, read Newspapers 2.0: The Billion Dollar Opportunity. Hopefully Associated Cities will pull in some people from the print newspaper side to speak at the event.
Register for the conference here.
