With less than 48 hours to go, several names bid to $100,000.
Sedo’s first ever numeric domain name auction ends on Thursday. Several domains have been bid to $100,000 or more, but none of them have hit their reserve. So far the biggest sale looks to be 94.com, which has met its reserve at $49,999. According to the domain sales listing, 94.com receives over 6,000 unique visitors per month.
The top domain is 88.com at $325,000 with 4 bidders. However, the stated reserve on the domain is over $500,000. I wouldn’t consider the $325,000 indicative of the domain’s value given that all bidders are aware they will not trigger the reserve with their current bids.
25.com, 40.com, and 70.com are each at $100,000. All three domains have reserves between $100,000 and $249,999.
One domain that looks promising is 900.com, which is currently at $15,000. The reserve is between $25,000 and $50,000. 900 is the prefix for fee based phone calls.
Outside of the numeric auction, Sedo is working on a big sale of AgenceMatrimoniale.com, which has met its reserve at 102,000 EUR.
The next unique auction from Sedo is called the “Italian Skill Games Auction” and includes gambling domain names using Italy’s country code domain .it. Domains include Blackjack.it, Keno.it, and TexasHoldem.it. The auction begins December 9.
I think that 88.com shall sell close at around $750K but it all depends on the bidders – My first thoughts would be 888.com would want to own the domain.

Robbie
As we know, most of the bidded prices will rise very quickly the last 30 minutues or less.
Numerical domains are very popular and in high demand
in different parts of the world.
Moreover, certain numbers are easier to remember
(very brandable),
there is a finite amount created and available,
and less threat from TM owners.
I believe the economy is holding back some of the bidders.
However, I’m sure all of these domains will sell
for more in the future.
Good luck to the buyers and sellers.
Don’t forget about Sedo’s premium domain auction starting on Dec 4. It’s on the GreatDomains site but still affiliated I believe.
{yes – I have reason to be interested}
Andrew; do you know where the “numeric auction” w/all the number domains is posted?
@ Steve M – on Sedo’s home page at the bottom of the auction block is a link “Auction Schedule”. Click on that and look for the numeric auction, then click on “view inventory”.
