Latona latest to throw hat into TRAFFIC conference auction hoopla.
Rick Latona has announced on his blog that he will be auctioning domains at September’s TRAFFIC conference in New York. Latona joins Moniker and Thought Convergence (TrafficZ) at the conference, and up to two other auctioneers.
In his post, titled “Go Big or Go Home”, Latona writes:
I’ve become the largest individual reseller and broker of domains in the business because I’m a domainer to the core. I understand what names people want and what prices will get them to bite. It’ll be more than interesting to see how this winning formula will perform in a live format.
Granted, there are four other companies doing auctions alongside mine at the show. Rick’s breaking the mold again by testing a multiple auction format. I’ll have only one hour to do my business but a lot can be accomplished in that amount of time.
Latona sends out a daily list of domain names for sale, ranging from hundreds of dollars to hundreds of thousands. He’s a long time domainer known for world travel, which he frequently writes about on his blog.
Ron Jackson of DNJournal recently suggested that Sedo may be another auctioneer at the conference.
