Long-awaited upgrade to software released today.
Web site creation software XsitePro, which Domain Name Wire has reviewed before, released its upgrade V2 to new customers today. V2 has been available to previous customers for about a month, so I’ve had a chance to test drive it. I’ve even read most of the 1,000 page manual. But it’s not that complicated — it’s only when you dig deep into the features that you even need to open the manual.
Assuming you’ve read the previous review, here are some new features of version 2:
Quick .Mobi development –Need to develop some of your .mobi domains? XsitePro 2 has a feature to create mobile versions of your XsitePro web sites in a few minutes.
Search Engine Analysis – There’s an integrated search engine tool that analyzes your page content and makes suggestions for keyword density, alt tags, etc.
More templates – One of the downsides of the first version was that it essentially had a couple types of templates, and most of them were designed for “sales letters”. The new version has dozens more templates, and many of them are designed for niche content sites.
RSS integration – You can add RSS feed headlines, such as news headlines, to your site. I’m going to use this feature for one of my sites that has a companion blog. I’ll publish the blog headlines on the main site.
There are a ton more features, but these are the ones that will be most interesting to domain name owners. The benefit of this software is it was made for marketing and is much less complicated that Dreamweaver and other tools (despite the long manual). It enables domain owners to rapidly develop their domain names.
For an example of a web site I’ve developed using XsitePro, visit 529s.com.

I can personally vouch for this software as a complete newbie. I first heard of xsitepro here and bought a copy.
Just a little bit of a learning curve but SO SO SO MUCH BETTER than MS Frontpage it’s amazing.
I haven’t tried xsp2 yet but I can’t wait.
Thanks to Andrew for introducing me to this great software.

I was first introduced to this product on your first post. I have been looking for an easy and cost effective tool/templates that focus on content and PPC advertising for a while now. I just saw the demo for the new version, and it looks promising. I have purchased a copy, and am excited about developing a few of my names out.
Thanks for the suggestion.

This software looks straightforward enough for web publishers uninterested in cooking up their own “advanced” web designs.
I might be interested in giving it a try for specific projects -but- since I’m on MacOS, that may never happen!
