Search engine ranking gets more important as more domainers develop their domains. SEO experts may debate whether Google’s PageRank number is really important for search engine ranking; but it is important for bragging rights and for selling ads. While Google usually avoids listing parked domains, some parked domains do end up with pagerank. I’ve also seen some of my WhyPark domains beginning to rank.
Google recently completed the first PageRank update in six months. As usual, some sites gained and others lost PageRank. The biggest news had to do with sites selling paid links. Many of these sites went down in PageRank – some dramatically so. SEORoundtable.com initially went from a PR7 to a PR4, for example. (It appears that they have now recovered that loss.) Sites selling paid links were hit much harder than sites buying such links. As an example, Text Link Ads was reportedy completely de-listed from Google some time back. They are showing up as a PR7 for me, but not listed in the organic listings on a search for text link ads. (Will I get in trouble linking to them?)
Google sells it’s own text ads, of course, and some have accused them of having a double standard. Is Google fighting paid links because these services compete with AdSense? They deny this, insisting that they are opposed to paid links solely because such links confuse their algorithm. Name Monetizer and ParkQuick will continue to focus primarily on domain parking, with additional coverage of other domain monetization options.

I think they just want to dominate the online advertising industry. It’s a billion dollars industry and they hold 90% of world searches..
It’s simple monopoly gimmick which they use – scare the people to support our own..
I don’t think anyone could do anything simply because we are using ‘google’s search engine’ and they make the call..
