.TV advertising deal shares revenue with eNom resellers.
Demand Media is adding advertising to customers’ .TV channels, and eNom resellers will earn a portion of the revenues.
.TV channels are social networking tools offered to registrants of .TV domains. It’s all part of Demand Media’s goal of applying social networking to domain names. As owner of the world’s second largest registrar, Demand Media uses its eNom resellers to promote the domains.
Starting in a couple weeks, .TV registrants who activate their channels will be able to use Demand Media’s advertising network. Ads will show on their channels and they’ll earn money. eNom resellers will earn a share of the revenue their customers earn, so eNom is pushing resellers to encourage their customers to activate channels.
The .TV channel builder includes:
– a free website with customizable templates
– social networking features including blogs, forums, friends list, and more
– channel building tools to add videos, photo albums and widgets from other sites
Here’s an example of a .TV channel:

At launch, the program will only be available to U.S. residents age 18 and over.
