UB.com Top Sale at Silent Auction

UB.com sold for $129,420 at Moniker’s silent auction.

The silent auction portion of Moniker’s TRAFFIC auction has ended with $1,188,000 in sales. That brings the total auction value (live and silent) to over $5M.

The top sale in the silent auction was UB.com, which sold for $129,420. UB.com was one of several two character domains to sell (see live auction results here).

UsedMotorcycles.com also cleared six figures with a final bid price of $105,890. After that the next highest sale was Pup.com at $39,159. KidShoes.com scored $38,610 and FarmMachinery.com ended at $35,300. Other $30,000+ domains included PrescriptionMeds.com (also for $35,300) and SellRealEstate.com ($31,350).

About 250 domains sold in the silent auction, which represents less than 10% of the total domains in the silent auction. About two-thirds of the domains posted in the live auction sold. Moniker selected more domains that usual but put many of them in the silent auction. This may have been a good strategy by giving exposure to these domains; although it may have made it hard to separate the good from the bad.
