At 8:27AM Saturday morning, actress Angelina Jolie’s lawyers were hard at work — registering domain names.
Having fought to get their names in cyberspace, celebrities are getting smarter about registering their kids’ names. Angelina Jolie’s team of lawyers registered a number of variations of her new baby’s name – Shiloh Nouvel. Among the variations of her name registered were Shilohnouveljoliepitt.com, Shilohjoliepitt.com, and Shilohjolie-pitt.com.
According to an article at Stuff.co.nz:
New mother Gwen Stefani has also acted quickly to secure the internet domain name of her new son Kingston. The singer registered a least one URL for the newborn on May 25 – a day before the baby was reportedly born.
However, Britney Spears had to fight for SeanPrestonFederline.com after another party snapped up the web address before she managed to register it for her son and her lawyers battled to get it back for her.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were too slow to secure SuriCruise.com – that was registered before the couple could secure it for their new daughter Suri.
Now, if only politicians would get smarter and register their own names. Say, within 30 years of being born!
