In a bid to challenge Yahoo’s Overture and Google Adwords, MSN is planning a pay-per-click search ad business according to Bloomberg. MSN controls a big chunk of the search market, although not as big as Yahoo or Google…and MSN will have to form partnerships to syndicate its ads. Either way, MSN will probably become the third biggest ad network overnight. If they’re successful, look for a Google Adsense type program to follow. Yahoo is currently readying its own Adsense program. Competition is a good thing!
