A low month but some notable sales.
NameJet sold 65 names greater than $2,000 for a total of only $333k last month. That’s a lot less dollar value than usual (about half). I gather the low number is for a couple reasons. First, August is a slow month because a lot of people are on vacation. Second, there was the shill bidding issue in July and canceled auctions as a result of it.
There were still a number of notable sales. Here are ones that caught my eye.
Ditan.com $27,821 – It was bought by someone in China, so my guess is this has something to do with Ditan Park, not the migraine drug.
ArganOil.com $13,255 – I had to look this one up. It’s an oil that people dip bread it and is also used in cosmetics.
Emojis.com $26,100 – People are wasting a lot of money on emoji domain names, but the emoji ecosystem is very strong.
Miho.com $7,500 – This is a Japanese name and is also used by some companies.
Chard.com $7,255 – Someone who’s last name is Chard owns it now.
Dispensers.com $4,288 – Not to be confused with Dispensaries.
MarketMakers.com $3,279 – A big financial and economic term.
YouTubd.com $2,494 – How many visits do you think this typo gets?
CSR.org $2,312 – CSR is common shorthand for Customer Service Representative.
BitcoinTechnology.com $2,109 – It wouldn’t be a sales list without a crypto currency domain!
