Goldman Sachs among companies that bought domain names through Sedo over the past week.
The top public sale at domain name marketplace Sedo over the past week was for Piech.com. The buyer is using whois privacy but has already uploaded a logo for its new venture. It will be interesting to see what they do with the domain.
Other end user domain sales include a company that paid €10,000 to buy the .com to match its .de, Goldman Sachs buying a French country code domain name and South African company buying a domain name to match one of its brand.
Here’s the list of end user sales I uncovered:
(You can view previous lists like this here.)
Piech.com $79,000 – The domain name has privacy and it’s not yet clear who owns the domain name. But they’ve put up a holding page with a logo for the site. Stanley Pace sold the domain name.
Starface.com €10,000 – A German telecom company called Starface. It uses the domain name Startface.de.
Jogging.fr €6,000 – Magazine publisher MOVE Publishing has a jogging magazine.
Flist.com €4,000 – Austrian branding company Moodley bought this domain name, presumably for a client.
Marcus.fr €3,980 – Goldman Sachs registered this domain name for its personal lending product called Marcus.
Dekorando.com €3,000 – RV company REIMO bought the domain name. I can’t find a translation.
AceFab.com $2,999 – Ace Fabrication in North Carolina.
TradeSwitch.com $2,899 – South African company MobileData has a service called TradeSwitch.
WeHappy.com $2,500 – An individual in Thailand bought this domain name and upload a “coming soon” page.
USFlagCo.com $2,499 – Aricode, Inc has created a flag site using Shopify on this domain.
PayCafe.com $2,000 – The domain name is still in escrow but the buyer has started creating a site.
Poofi.com $2,000 – A Polish company that makes a baby swaddling contraption. It uses the domain name Poofi.pl.

I wonder if the recent UDRP had anything to do with his decision to sell Piech. It’s a nice sale all the same, congratulations to Stanley.
