Toby Clements, eNom and Escrow.com were among the top stories on DNW last month.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s almost Valentine’s Day, so why am I just getting around to reviewing last month’s top stories?
I’ll blame the NamesCon hangover and all of the cool stuff going on in the domain biz so far in February.
But let’s give January its due. Here are the top five stories from last month ranked by pageviews:
1. Toby Clements is back, and this is what he has to say – Domain name broker Toby Clements is back in the business. Toby isn’t the only person with something to say…the article has 97 comments.
2. A threat to the importance of domain names – I outline what I perceive as a threat to the importance of domain names. Not everyone agrees.
3. Tucows acquires eNom from Rightside – Tucows bulked up on domains while Rightside decided to focus on new top level domain names. Tucows called the deal “opportunistic”.
4. Domain development success story: From expired domain to $22,000, but… the guy lost his job over it.
5. Want to use Escrow.com? Prepare to be verified. Escrow.com is requiring identity verification.
Also, you should learn more about the domain name business by listening to the DNW Podcast. Here are January’s shows:
