A bank, sporting social network and internet of things company bought domain names last month.
Sedo had some strong end user domain name sales over the past week, including SelfEmployed.com at $18,000. This is a great domain, but I suspect its value was held down because it’s usually written with a hyphen (self-employed).
I also learned about a sale that’s not on Sedo’s list involving Key Bank and the Buffalo Sabres arena.
Here are 17 end user domain name sales that recently closed at Sedo:
(You can view previous lists like this here. If you’d like to learn how to sell your domain names like these on Sedo, download this report.)
SelfEmployed.com $18,000 – serial entrepreneur John Rampton bought this domain. (A reader pointed out that this same domain sold for $58,000 on Sedo in 2011.)
KeyBankCenter.com $10,000 – this wasn’t on Sedo’s sales list, the domain sold for $10,000, apparently to Key Bank. The Buffalo Sabres are renaming their arena to the Key Bank Center.
JAmerica.com $9,888 – J. America makes licensed collegiate apparel. Its website is JAmericaTLG.com.
Winespeed.com $9,000 – the whois shows Michael Mills as the new registrant. He is also the registrant for other versions of the domain. The site seems to be nominally owned by Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible.
EGCA.co.uk $7,500 – EG Capital Advisors in Cayman.
Beaming.co.uk GBP 6,500 – Internet services company Beaming Ltd uses the domain name Beaming.biz.
Intralogistics.com $7,000 – the buyer is involved with intralogistics. It’s registered in his personal name.
Taifun.com €6,500 – Taifun in the name of a clothing line owned by Gerry Weber International.
Camerasky.com $6,000 – I’m not sure what to make of this purchase by Milkway Distribution, which specializes in electronics. Camerasky.com.au is an operating site, but I’m not sure of its connection to Milkyway. At any rate, the .com now forwards to the .com.au.
Talent.ai $4,499 – Job technology company Recruiter.ai.
MedStaffLocums.com €3,900 – Medstaff National Medical Staffing in North Carolina.
Sportin.com €3,600 – Sportin is a sports social network.
Ghanshyam.com $3,500 – a guy in India named Ghanshyam Ahir. He already owns his full name as a .com.
Elite-Group.com €2,999- a Mark Monitor client. EliteGroup.com is for sale.
MQTT.de €2,950 – HiveMQ. MQTT is a light-weight, open and scalable protocol for the internet of things.
NCL.forex $2,250 – NCL Investments Limited, which owns NCLForex.com.
Girlism.com $2,000 – Love Panky, a relationship site for woman, bought this clever domain.
Jeff says
elite-group feels a little inflated; especially since direct-group sold for just $100 a couple months ago.
