THE Domain Conference and DomainFest Asia take place next month.
We’re just a few days away from September, and that means we’re just a few weeks away from two domain name conferences.
First up is THE Domain Conference, organized by the Neu family.
The event takes place September 10-14 at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale.
Speakers include Sedo CEO Tobias Flaitz, Neustar VP Lori Anne Wardi and Amazon.com General Manager Stacey King.
Tickets are still available for $649 and hotel rooms are only $109 per night.
The following week, DomainFest Asia takes place in Hong Kong September 19-22.
Speakers include Kassey Lee (who frequently comments about the Chinese market on NamePros and on this blog), DotAsia CEO Edmon Chung and 190.com CEO 唐嘉求.
Passes to DomainFest Asia are HK$4,850.00 (about $625 USD) until the end of the month, at which time prices increase. Multiple nearby hotels are available starting at HK$774 ($100 USD).

Do you think that conference representatives should attend each other’s conferences? I feel that would help connect all of them together and help proliferate as to what each has to offer.
Andrew Allemann says
I think they already do.
Ivan Rasskazov says
I don’t recall seeing a booth for DFA at NamesCon. If they do, then they’ve thought of this well ahead of time.
Andrew Allemann says
They didn’t have a booth but I know they were there.

Ivan DFA (DOMAINfest Asia) and NamesCon are one and the same :).
There is a magnificent relationship between THE Domain Conference and NamesCon, though there is always friendly competition closer to the conference dates.
Each event will be distinct and have a very different flavor and attraction to the attendee – I recognize it is an ambitious travel schedule to attend both, but I encourage it and we will see a number of people attending both conferences in September.

(Speaking in a personal capacity, of course, but I know a bit about NamesCon 🙂 )
Ivan Rasskazov says
Jothan,
Thank you for the update. I should have probably known the first point, my apologies.
We will definitely weigh attending DFA in the future.
