Move should help company get license in China.
TLD Registry Ltd is switching its two top level domain names’ back-end services from Afilias to Teleinfo Network Technology Co., Ltd.
The company operates two domain names:
.在线 (.xn--3ds443g) Dot Chinese Online
.中文网 (.xn--fiq228c5hs) Dot Chinese Website
TLD Registry is making the move so that Chinese customers can create websites on the names.
“The completion of this milestone will hopefully pave the way for our accreditation with Chinese regulators, which ultimately allows our China-based customer’s names to resolve legally to a website hosted from within China,” said Arto Isokoski, CEO of TLD Registry.
Getting a license in China is key for TLD Registry since its two domain names are squared solely at the Chinese market. TLD Registry even inked a deal with the Chinese government for it to get 20,000 domain names.
Teleinfo also runs the Chinese IDN .信息 (xn--vuq861b), which translates to “Information” in English.

Afilias, could lose the .ORG contract which could be a big deal.Should lower .info renewals imo but probably won’t. Own one for development.
