A great deal on a three letter domain name and more notable sales.
It’s time for my monthly look at notable sales over at NameJet.
NameJet recorded 187 sales over $2,000 last month. Here are some that are worth discussion.
Rod.com $45,600 – The buyer of this domain should be thankful that the Chinese don’t like vowels. This is a great three letter domain that’s also a word. It can make a great brand and the buyer got a great value.
FunnyPets.com $7,600 – I picked this on one of my weekly “what to buy” list, but I’m amazed at how high the auction went.
SoleMia.com $4,300 – When I google this, all I get are details on a new Miami condo project.
DNW.net $4,104 – Gee, what a nice acronym!
HoustonTx.com $3,700 – Another one from my “what to buy” list.
Sandles.com $3,500 – Not to be confused with sandles…or is it?
SMTPServer.com $3,439 – I wonder if this gets typo DNS traffic?
InterstateMovers.com $3,101 – A great long haul moving company name.
FoldingBicycle.com $2,420 – A niche product purchased online. Plural is better, though.
PowerCables.com $2,301 – People go online to find the right power cable, so there’s a big market here.

The end of May NameJet is going to start selling off some Chinese .com pinyin names-it will be interesting to see how they go.

HoustonTX.com seems to be severely undervalued here.
Looks like the price for a great 2 word .com is around $3500 on NJ.
