Maybe you shouldn’t let your spouse register domain names for you.
I’m sure there are a lot of allegations made against ex-spouses. But calling your ex-wife a cybersquatter?
An Ontario man filed a UDRP against his ex-wife over the domain name StrategicChoiceArchitecture.com. His wife registered the domain name for him while she was managing certain aspects of his business.
They later divorced, and the divorce settlement specifically required his wife to transfer one domain name she registered for him–but it didn’t mention StrategicChoiceArchitecture.com.
A three-person World Intellectual Property Organization panel determined that this dispute was outside the scope of the UDRP. I concur…I wouldn’t want to wade into this dispute either!
