Someone is asleep at the wheel.
A lot of sports stars and celebrities fight hard to get their hands on domain names that match their name. In the case of Tim Duncan, his lawyers are about to let one slip through their hands. [Update: someone renewed the domain after seeing this post.]
The 15-time NBA All-Star, five-time NBA champion, two-time NBA MVP, and three-time NBA Finals MVP with the San Antonio Spurs is about to lose his domain name TimDuncan.com if they don’t pay attention soon.
TimDuncan.com has been registered in the name of law firm Bracewell for at least a decade but expired on February 14 this year. For many years, it forwarded to a now stale site called SlamDuncan.com. That site hasn’t been updated since the 2013-2014 season.
Perhaps a Tim Duncan fan will step in to save the day. The domain name is registered at Hover, and Hover lets anyone renew a domain name. Any visitor to TimDuncan.com right now can renew the domain for just $10.
John Kenney says
I went ahead and bought it. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens.
JZ says

John Kenney says
Yes, most likely.
Matt Hauser says
LOL I have some domains that need to be renewed if you’re interested.
John says
Why didn’t you do it ?
David says
Why in the world would anyone renew a domain as a gift for someone as wealthy as a well known NBA player? Maybe you can also pay for my renewals too!
Perfectname.com says
Because he thought he bought it.
thelegendaryjp says
Considering his time has come and gone they were likely hoping it expired LOL
Andrew Allemann says

Patrick says
Let’s see jp, Duncan is a
